The wine region of Arabako Txakolina is located in the region of El Pais Vasco of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Bat Gara or the Domaine Artomaña Txakolina produce mainly wines white, sparkling and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Arabako Txakolina are Petit Manseng et Gros Manseng, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Arabako Txakolina often reveals types of flavors of grapefruit, vegetal or dried fruit and sometimes also flavors of non oak, tropical fruit or oak.

By 1965, the vineyards of Condrieu had largely been abandoned – phylloxera and two world wars had decimated the place and its people. There were just 8ha of vines remaining on these granite slopes. If it weren’t for the hard work of a few steadfast vignerons, the appellation might have disappeared entirely, reclaimed by the forest.
