The wine region of Tierra de León is located in the region of Castille-et-Léon of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Convento San Francisco or the Domaine Raúl Pérez produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Tierra de León are Tempranillo, Albarino and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Tierra de León often reveals types of flavors of tree fruit, citrus fruit or non oak and sometimes also flavors of earth, oak or spices.
In the mouth of Tierra de León is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 51 estates and châteaux in the of Tierra de León, producing 112 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Tierra de León go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or veal.
