The wine region of Jonkershoek Valley is located in the region of Stellenbosch of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Neil Ellis or the Domaine Neil Ellis produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Jonkershoek Valley are Cabernet-Sauvignon et Malbec, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Jonkershoek Valley often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of vegetal, oak or spices.
In the mouth of Jonkershoek Valley is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 3 estates and châteaux in the of Jonkershoek Valley, producing 4 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Jonkershoek Valley go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or poultry.
