The wine region of Alexandra is located in the region of Central Otago of South Island of New Zealand. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Two Paddocks produce mainly wines red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Alexandra are Pinot noir, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Alexandra often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
In the mouth of Alexandra is a with a nice freshness. We currently count 1 estates and châteaux in the of Alexandra, producing 1 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Alexandra go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, veal or game (deer, venison).
