The wine region of Trasimeno is located in the region of Ombrie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Berioli or the Domaine Azienda Agraria Carini produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Trasimeno are Merlot, Sangiovese and Gamay noir, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Trasimeno often reveals types of flavors of earthy, truffle or non oak and sometimes also flavors of earth, microbio or oak.
In the mouth of Trasimeno is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 15 estates and châteaux in the of Trasimeno, producing 38 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Trasimeno go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or veal.

Despite the lowest number of barrels going under the hammer in 15 years, the 2021 Hospices de Beaune charity auction broke per-barrel price records, reaching an impressive total sales figure of €12.5m (£10.48m/$14.09m), excluding buyer premiums.
