The wine region of Mitterberg is located in the region of Trentin-Haut-Adige of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Hartmann Donà or the Domaine Kränzelhof Graf Pfeil produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Mitterberg are Gewurztraminer, Zweigelt and Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Mitterberg often reveals types of flavors of tree fruit, spices or earth and sometimes also flavors of microbio, citrus fruit or oak.
In the mouth of Mitterberg is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 38 estates and châteaux in the of Mitterberg, producing 71 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Mitterberg go well with generally quite well with dishes of pasta, shellfish or mature and hard cheese.
