The wine region of Völgység is located in the region of Tolna of Dél-Pannónia of Hungary. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Tűzkő or the Domaine Tűzkő produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Völgység are Merlot, Cabernet franc and Harslevelu, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Völgység often reveals types of flavors of oak, black fruit or non oak and sometimes also flavors of earth, microbio or spices.
In the mouth of Völgység is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 1 estates and châteaux in the of Völgység, producing 4 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Völgység go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or game (deer, venison).
