The wine region of Agio Oros is located in the region of Chalkidiki of Macedonia of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Манастир Хиландар (Monastery Hilandar) or the Domaine Манастир Хиландар (Monastery Hilandar) produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Agio Oros are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet franc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Agio Oros often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
We currently count 4 estates and châteaux in the of Agio Oros, producing 23 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Agio Oros go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or pork.
