The wine region of Haute-Vienne is located in the region of Val de Loire of Vin de Pays of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Ampelidae or the Domaine des Gabies produce mainly wines white, pink and red. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Haute-Vienne are Chardonnay, Pinot noir and Gamay noir, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. We currently count 2 estates and châteaux in the of Haute-Vienne, producing 4 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture.
The wines of Haute-Vienne go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, rich fish (salmon, tuna etc) or vegetarian.
