Cistercian town of Württemberg (vineyards planted c. 1147 by monks of the UNESCO abbey, Muschelkalk and keuper-gypsum soils). Lemberger (Blaufränkisch) reigns as the signature red — spiced and structured with intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum, clove, pepper and a firm tannic-fleshy edge.
