Campanian DOC sub-zone of Irpinia (Avellino, Montemarano, Castelvetere and Paternopoli, clay soils with limestone deposits, among Italy's latest-ripening vineyards): Aglianico native signature red (≥85%) — remarkable aromatic intensity and balanced structure, red and black berries with spiced notes, preserved tannins yet less weighty than Taurasi, elegant finish.
