Discover the grape variety: Gouget

Simple, fruity reds with a pale colour, a light ruby robe, silky tannins and an airy palate with moderate acidity. Understated aromas of red fruits. Discrete rustic profile. Nearly gone from commercial cultivation, preserved in INRAE varietal collections for its heritage value; it reflects pre-phylloxera ampelographic diversity. A rare French black grape, once grown in the centre and south-west.

The wine region of Dalmatian Coast

Croatia's Adriatic coast, native identity grapes in full revival. Signature Plavac Mali: powerful, sun-soaked reds with notes of candied blackberry, black plum, dried fig, garrigue, tobacco and spices, firm tannins and a warm palate — at its peak in Dingač and Postup (Pelješac). Also dense Babić. Ample, aromatic Pošip whites (pear, honey, fennel), lively Maraština, mineral Debit.

The word of the wine: Fermentation

The process by which grape juice becomes wine, thanks to the action of yeasts that transform sugar into alcohol.
