Discover the grape variety: Solaris

Aromatic, structured whites with an ample palate and moderate acidity, with intense, muscat-like aromas of yellow peach, apricot, exotic fruits (pineapple, mango), white flowers, honey and discreet herbal notes. Made as both expressive dry whites and sweet wines. A very early, mildew- and powdery-mildew-resistant interspecific variety, driving organic viticulture in northern regions (Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, UK). Created in 1975 in Freiburg (Merzling × Geisenheim 6493).

The wine region of Ma&#322opolski Prze&#322om Wis&#322y

Wine region in south-east Poland along the Vistula valley (around Kazimierz Dolny), south-facing marl-limestone slopes — a pioneer of the Polish wine revival. Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Gewürztraminer as leading whites with vibrant citrus, apple, white-flower and mineral notes and sharp northern acidity. Airy Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch as northern reds. Solaris, Regent and Souvignier Gris hybrids as complements.

The word of the wine: Reims Mountain

Between Épernay and Reims, a large limestone massif with varied soils and exposure where pinot noir reigns supreme. Ambonnay, Bouzy, Verzenay, Verzy, etc., are equivalent to the Burgundian Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée. There are also great Chardonnays, which are rarer (Mailly, Marmery, Trépail, Villers).
