Sierra Nevada foothill AVA (El Dorado County, 21,000 acres, 600-900 m, California's second-highest average altitude, decomposed granite): Zinfandel signature red — bright red fruits (raspberry, berries), spiced notes and impressive depth, tannic complexity forged by thermal amplitude.
