Discover the grape variety: Amigne

A very old vine cultivated in the Swiss Valais, more precisely in Vétroz. The latest genetic analyses, to be confirmed however, show that it would be related to the petit meslier and in fact to the gouais and the savagnin. It should be noted that it is only known in its country and region of origin.

The wine region of Cava

Cava is Spain's signature style of Sparkling wine, and the Iberian Peninsula's answer to Champagne. The traditional Grape varieties used in Cava were Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel-lo, but the Champagne varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are also used. While the first Cava was produced exclusively in Catalonia - specifically in a small town called San Sadurní de Noya - modern Cava can be sourced from various regions of Spain. Aragon, Navarre, Rioja, Pais Vasco, Valencia and Extremadura have specific delimited areas that can benefit from the designation of origin.

A stranger, subsequently charged with his murder, had (it seems) knocked on his door, asking for help. Paul’s sudden, untimely loss has left his family, and the broader Canadian wine community, di ...

From the front line of Greece’s deep-rooted vineyards, I bring my very own blueprint for the Ten Commandments of Greek Wine… 1. Old vines are big news From Mouhtaro in th ...
