The Domaine Lelarge-Pugeot is an exceptional Champagne producer, nestled in the picturesque village of Vrigny, on fertile land in the Champagne region of France. This family domaine, owned and operated by the Lelarge family for seven generations, spans approximately 8 hectares of lush vineyards. The domain is well known for its practice of organic and biodynamic farming, a testament to its commitment to sustainability and respect for the earth. The vines are carefully tended without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, yielding grapes of the highest quality that are then used to produce exceptional champagnes. Domaine Lelarge-Pugeot produces a range of champagnes that are both elegant and expressive, reflecting the complexity and diversity of the terroirs from which they are derived. The house uses Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, which are carefully selected and hand-harvested to ensure the quality of each bottle produced. The ancient cellars of the domain, dug directly into the chalk, provide ideal conditions for the aging of champagnes. It is here that the precious bottles age for several years, acquiring finesse and complexity through a slow and patient fermentation process. Domaine Lelarge-Pugeot is also renowned for its warm welcome. Visitors are invited to tour the domain, walk the vineyards, visit the cellars and, of course, taste their exquisite champagnes. During these visits, the winemakers share their passion and knowledge, offering visitors a true immersion in the world of champagne. Domaine Lelarge-Pugeot is therefore much more than just a Champagne house.

Discover the grape variety: Pinot Meunier

Vinified almost exclusively as a base for Champagne AOC, where it brings freshness, fruitiness and immediate roundness to blends (apple, pear, red fruit, brioche notes); it is the most approachable young of the three Champagne varieties. Represents about one third of plantings, the absolute signature of the Vallée de la Marne. Also vinified as single varietal by some growers (blanc-de-noirs meunier champagnes). A cottony-leaved mutation of Pinot Noir, autochthonous to Champagne.
