Higher tier of Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux's right bank: velvety, complex reds dominated by Merlot (round, silky foundation with aromas of ripe plum, blackcurrant, violet, leather, chocolate and smoke) with spicy Cabernet Franc and structuring Cabernet Sauvignon. Fine tannins, balanced acidity, ages 3 to 30 years. Notes evolving toward tobacco, leather and chocolate at maturity. AOC stricter than Saint-Émilion (yields, minimum 12-month ageing, mandatory tasting panel).

World-renowned age-worthy reds, led by round Merlot (plum, black fruit) or firm Cabernet Sauvignon (blackcurrant, cedar, graphite), blended with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for tannic structure. The word of the wine: Baco 22A
A white grape variety resulting from the hybridization of the folle blanche and the noah. It is the only hybrid to remain authorized in a French appellation vineyard, that of Armagnac, where it thrives in particular on the tawny sands of Bas-Armagnac. When distilled, its wine produces round, smooth and aromatic eaux-de-vie with hints of ripe fruit.
