Discover the grape variety: Jurançon

Light, fruity reds with a pale ruby colour, soft tannins, and an airy palate with moderate acidity, offering red-fruit aromas and herbaceous notes. Productive. Today marginal, surviving in a few heritage parcels in Béarn and Bigorre. Not to be confused with the Jurançon AOC (white wines). The wine region of Weststeiermark

DAC Schilcherland in western Austrian Styria (350-550 m, gneiss and slate soils): indigenous Blauer Wildbacher signature exclusive rose (~406 ha) under the name Schilcher — pale crimson rose, vibrant acidity and exceptional freshness, playful aromas of red berries (cherry, redcurrant), herbaceous notes of nettle, thyme and rosemary, rustic and nervous expression. Vinified still and frizzante, sometimes also as a dry aperitif, unique signature in Europe.

The wine region of Steirerland

Austrian Styria, the country's southernmost region around Graz down to the Slovenian border, vineyards on steep slopes up to 700 m, temperate southern climate. Signature Sauvignon Blanc as white king: lively and precise with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, boxwood, elderflower and a mineral touch — mountain benchmark. Tense Welschriesling (green apple, citrus), ample Morillon (Chardonnay), floral Muskateller. Rustic Schilcher rosé from Blauer Wildbacher.

The word of the wine: Sulphiting

Introduction of a sulphurous solution into a must or wine to protect it from accidents or diseases, or to select the ferments.
