Discover the grape variety: Syrah

No one can agree on the origin of Syrah, the black grape variety found today in the Rhône Valley, Provence, Languedoc-Roussillon and southwestern France. Several legends speak of its possible origin in Sicily, Persia or Syria. Tests have finally revealed that it originated in the northern Côtes du Rhône valley. The wine region of Côtes de Gascogne is located in the region of Comté Tolosan of Vin de Pays of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Sichel or the Domaine Haut-Marin produce mainly wines white, red and sweet.
