Historic Australian region in New South Wales (Lower Hunter, volcanic soils, warm and humid climate tempered by coastal proximity): Semillon is a world-famous king in whites, harvested early — crisp, light, with citrus notes of lemon, lime and green apple evolving into honey, toast and hazelnut after long cellaring.
