Most certainly Portuguese, not to be confused with the Touriga Franca also of the same origin. In Portugal, where it is widely cultivated, it is used to produce, among other things, the famous red Porto. It is also found in Uzbekistan, Australia, South Africa, Cyprus, Spain, etc... very little known in France, although it is listed in the Official Catalogue of A1 vines.

The wine region of Korinthos is located in the region of Peloponnesos of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Papargyriou or the Domaine Papargyriou produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Korinthos are Agiorgitiko, Assyrtiko and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Korinthos often reveals types of flavors of cream, plum or tropical fruit and sometimes also flavors of cranberry, raspberry or strawberries.
