German grape variety obtained in 1916 by Georg Shere (1879/1949). It was given until then as coming from a cross between Riesling and Sylvaner, but genetic tests have shown that its father is the Bouquettraube (Bukettrebe), and it is closely related to the Kerner. The Scheurebe can be found in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Great Britain, the United States (California, Virginia, ...), Canada (Ontario, British Columbia, ...), ... practically unknown in France.

Vanilla was ranked as the most pleasant smell in a study involving 235 people and conducted by an international network of researchers, including those from the University of Oxford and the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. France expects bigger 2022 wine harvest but drought is a concern
France’s 2022 wine harvest is likely to be between 42.6 million and 45.6m hectolitres, up by 13% to 21% on the frost-hit 2021 vintage and more in-line with the country’s five-year average.
