Grenache noir is a grape variety that originated in Spain. It produces a variety of grape specially used for the elaboration of wine. It is rare to find this grape to eat on our tables. This variety of grape is characterized by medium to large bunches, and grapes of medium size. The Figari Vin de Corse is produced under the appellation Vin de Corse de Corse, more precisely in the villages of the southern tip of the island, between the communes of Monacia d'Aullene and Sartene. The Generic appellation Vin de Corse is divided into several sub-regions, corresponding to five major wine-producing areas: Porto-Vecchio, Sartene, Calvi, Cap Corse and Figari itself. The vineyards of Figari are located in the plains between the high peak of Punta d'Ovace in the west and the low hills above Figari. This is where the topography of the island is most relaxed.
