Structured, aromatic whites with a round palate and fresh acidity, with aromas of fresh almond, white flowers, yellow apple, pear, citrus and volcanic mineral notes. Typical bitter almond finish. Made as noble dry whites (Soave Classico DOC, Soave Superiore DOCG) and sumptuous passito dessert wines (Recioto di Soave DOCG). Also in Gambellara DOC. Native Venetian variety from the volcanic hills south-east of Verona.
Piedmontese DOC (2005) from Monferrato (commune of Strevi, well-exposed clay-limestone soils above 160 m). 100% Moscato Bianco as noble passito signature — intense notes of candied citrus, dried apricot, honey, yellow flowers, ripe fruit and a saline-fresh finish, golden robe with amber reflections, velvety balance between sweetness and tension. Drying of withered grapes (30-40 days), aging ≥24 months. Exceptional longevity.
