A very old variety native to Romania, found much more in Romanian Moldavia and Wallachia, almost unknown in France, but registered in the Official Catalogue of Wine Grape Varieties, list A2. According to Viala and Vermorel, it is the black form of feteasca alba. It should not be confused with feteasca regala.
Georgia (the Eurasian nation, not the American state) is one of the oldest wine-producing countries in the world. The main wine varieties favored in Georgia are the red Saperavi and the white Rkatsiteli. These are the classic varieties of the former Soviet republics, from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to Moldova">Moldova and Ukraine. A number of other long-established varieties are widely grown in the country.

Low and no alcohol drinks are becoming increasingly popular in the UK, according to a new YouGov survey commissioned by The Portman Group, the industry self-regulatory body. Nearly one third of respondents said they chose low or no alcohol drinks on a ‘semi-regular’ basis, up from one in four in a similar survey a year earlier.
