Campania is a region that forms the "tibia" of the boot of Italy, and whose largest city is Naples. Its name comes from Campania felix, a Latin phrase meaning roughly "happy land". The region has strong historical links with wine and vineyards, dating back to the 12th century BC, and is one of the oldest wine regions in Italy. France expects bigger 2022 wine harvest but drought is a concern
France’s 2022 wine harvest is likely to be between 42.6 million and 45.6m hectolitres, up by 13% to 21% on the frost-hit 2021 vintage and more in-line with the country’s five-year average.
