The wine region of Isla de Menorca is located in the region of Iles Baléares of Spain. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Torralbenc or the Domaine Bodegas Binifadet produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Isla de Menorca are Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Isla de Menorca often reveals types of flavors of plum, black currant or black fruit and sometimes also flavors of earth, tree fruit or citrus fruit.
In the mouth of Isla de Menorca is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 11 estates and châteaux in the of Isla de Menorca, producing 38 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Isla de Menorca go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or veal.
Clotilde Davenne, from the eponymous estate, mentions the cherry as a main characteristic of the Irancy appellation.
