The wine region of Tygerberg is located in the region of Coastal Region of Western Cape of South Africa. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Terra d'Aria or the Domaine De Grendel produce mainly wines red, white and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Tygerberg are Merlot, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Pinotage, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Tygerberg often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Tygerberg is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 7 estates and châteaux in the of Tygerberg, producing 23 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Tygerberg go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or game (deer, venison).
