The wine region of Carcavelos is located in the region of Lisboa of Portugal. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Villa Oeiras or the Domaine Casa Manoel Boullosa produce mainly wines natural sweet, red and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Carcavelos are Verdelho, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Carcavelos often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of dried fruit, microbio or citrus fruit.
In the mouth of Carcavelos is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 3 estates and châteaux in the of Carcavelos, producing 3 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Carcavelos go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or veal.
