The wine region of Tikveshiya is located in the region of Povardarie of Macedonia. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Lepovo or the Domaine Lepovo produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Tikveshiya are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Pinot noir, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Tikveshiya often reveals types of flavors of plum, leather or earth and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
We currently count 3 estates and châteaux in the of Tikveshiya, producing 27 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Tikveshiya go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or game (deer, venison).
Franciacorta producers have reported sales up by 28.3% last year, compared to 2020, when sales fell by nearly 10% to 15.8 million bottles.
