The wine region of Vicenza is located in the region of Vénétie of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Masari or the Domaine Colli Vicentini produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Vicenza are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot blanc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Vicenza often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or oak and sometimes also flavors of tree fruit, citrus fruit or vegetal.
In the mouth of Vicenza is a powerful. We currently count 16 estates and châteaux in the of Vicenza, producing 35 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Vicenza go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.
The small island of Gorgona, just off the coast of Livorno, isn’t your run-of-the-mill viticultural area – its main purpose is to serve as a penal colony. Not just any prisoner can reside on Gorgona, however. Up to 90 incarcerated men live on the island at a time, alongside 17 residents and a handful of police officers.
