The wine region of Val di Cornia is located in the region of Toscane of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Russo or the Domaine Gualdo del Re produce mainly wines red, white and sweet. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Val di Cornia are Sangiovese, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Val di Cornia often reveals types of flavors of earth, oak or non oak and sometimes also flavors of spices, red fruit or black fruit.
In the mouth of Val di Cornia is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 17 estates and châteaux in the of Val di Cornia, producing 30 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Val di Cornia go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or veal.
