The wine region of Friuli Isonzo is located in the region of Frioul-Vénétie Julienne of Italy. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Vie di Romans or the Domaine Bressan produce mainly wines white, red and sparkling. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Friuli Isonzo are Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet franc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Friuli Isonzo often reveals types of flavors of cream, elderflower or cinnamon and sometimes also flavors of brioche, honeysuckle or white peach.
In the mouth of Friuli Isonzo is a powerful with a nice freshness. We currently count 66 estates and châteaux in the of Friuli Isonzo, producing 295 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Friuli Isonzo go well with generally quite well with dishes of pasta, shellfish or mature and hard cheese.
