The wine region of Velventos is located in the region of Kozani of Macedonia of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Κτήμα Βογιατζή ( Ktima Voyatzi ) or the Domaine Kamkoutis produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Velventos are Xinomavro et Chardonnay, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Velventos often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of vegetal, oak or spices.
We currently count 2 estates and châteaux in the of Velventos, producing 2 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Velventos go well with generally quite well with dishes of pork, rich fish (salmon, tuna etc) or vegetarian.
