The wine region of Sithonia is located in the region of Chalkidiki of Macedonia of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Porto Carras or the Domaine Porto Carras produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Sithonia are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Assyrtiko and Cabernet franc, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Sithonia often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of vegetal, oak or tree fruit.

Bordeaux’s Château Angélus has withdrawn its candidacy from the next St-Emilion classification, the producer announced today via a press release sent to Decanter. The withdrawal follows that of Château Cheval Blanc and Château Ausone who announced the news in July 2021.
