The wine region of Zakynthos is located in the region of Ionian Islands of Greece. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Grampsas or the Domaine Solomos produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Zakynthos are Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Moschofilero, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Zakynthos often reveals types of flavors of non oak, oak or spices and sometimes also flavors of tree fruit, citrus fruit or earth.
We currently count 6 estates and châteaux in the of Zakynthos, producing 42 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Zakynthos go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, lamb or spicy food.
