The wine region of Côte-Rôtie is located in the region of Rhône septentrional of Rhone Valley of France. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine E. Guigal or the Domaine E. Guigal produce mainly wines red, white and sweet.
The most planted grape varieties in the region of Côte-Rôtie are Viognier, Mourvèdre and Pinot noir, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Côte-Rôtie often reveals types of flavors of cream, sour cherry or apples and sometimes also flavors of peach, red cherry or cranberry. In the mouth of Côte-Rôtie is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins.
