The wine region of Las Compuertas is located in the region of Mendoza of Argentina. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Luigi Bosca or the Domaine Luigi Bosca produce mainly wines red and white. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Las Compuertas are Malbec, Cabernet franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Las Compuertas often reveals types of flavors of non oak, earth or microbio and sometimes also flavors of oak, spices or red fruit.
In the mouth of Las Compuertas is a powerful with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. We currently count 4 estates and châteaux in the of Las Compuertas, producing 7 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Las Compuertas go well with generally quite well with dishes of beef, pasta or lamb.
