Light, fruity reds with a pale ruby colour, soft tannins, and an airy palate with moderate acidity, offering red-fruit aromas and herbaceous notes. Productive. Today marginal, surviving in a few heritage parcels in Béarn and Bigorre. Not to be confused with the Jurançon AOC (white wines). The wine region of Tursan

AOC of the French South-West (Landes, Gers) at the Pyrenean foothills along the Adour bends, temperate oceanic climate. Baroque is the exclusive signature white: aromatic and lively with citrus, yellow apple, pear, white flowers and a honeyed touch. Gros and Petit Manseng complement. Tannat is the signature firm structured red (blackberry, blackcurrant, leather, spices), powerful tannins, blended with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Fer Servadou.

The wine region of South West

French mosaic of strong identities south of Bordeaux. Cahors and its Malbec ("black wine"): deep reds with notes of blackberry, plum, violet, tobacco and cocoa, firm tannins. Madiran and its dense, age-worthy Tannat. Jurançon whites: golden sweet (apricot, honey, pineapple) and lively dry from Petit Manseng.

The word of the wine: Acidic (flavor)

Acidity is present in all wines, and is essential in white wines. It is due to the presence of different organic acids in the wine, and is expressed in the mouth by a sensation of freshness combined with other elements, such as minerality or a note of bitterness. Moderately present, it brings relief and vivacity to the wine.
