The wine region of Bramaterra

Rare Piedmontese DOC in the northeast (Biella and Vercelli), pre-Alpine moraine hills southwest of Lake Maggiore, porphyritic volcanic soils. Nebbiolo (Spanna, 50–80%) is the signature red: garnet robe with intense faded rose, cherry, tar, leather and a smoky hint, firm tannins and superb ageing potential. Fleshy Croatina (≤30%) and Uva Rara/Vespolina (≤20%) as softening complements. Minimum 22 months ageing.

The wine region of Piedmont

Kingdom of Nebbiolo: Barolo and Barbaresco DOCG, long-ageing reds with firm tannins and lively acidity, complex aromas of withered rose, sour cherry, tar, truffle and undergrowth. More accessible, tangy Barbera on red fruit, supple, crisp Dolcetto. Sweet, floral sparkling Moscato d'Asti, mineral, lemony Gavi (Cortese) white, round, almondy Arneis from Roero. 50,000 ha across the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato, UNESCO.

The word of the wine: Vinosity

When tasting a red wine, a pleasant sensation on the palate with a fruity and sappy character in harmony with a caressing and persistent presence of tannins.
