A cross between Landot 4511 and Vitis Riparia 89 (very resistant to cold) obtained in 1978 at the University of Minnesota (United States) and propagated from 1996. It can also be found in Canada (Quebec, Ontario, etc.), in Lithuania, etc. In France, it is practically unknown. The wine region of Cafayate Valley
The wine region of Cafayate Valley is located in the region of Calchaqui Valley of Salta of Argentina. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Matervini or the Domaine Domingo Molina produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Cafayate Valley are Malbec, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Tannat, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety.
