The wine region of Augusta is located in the region of Ozark Mountain of Missouri of United States. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Noboleis Vineyards or the Domaine Montelle produce mainly wines white, red and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Augusta are Vignoles, Vidal blanc and Chambourcin, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. On the nose of Augusta often reveals types of flavors of tree fruit, citrus fruit or red fruit and sometimes also flavors of tropical fruit, earth or oak.
We currently count 5 estates and châteaux in the of Augusta, producing 23 different wines in conventional, organic and biodynamic agriculture. The wines of Augusta go well with generally quite well with dishes of game (deer, venison), spicy food or beef.
