Interspecific crossing between the 101-14 Millardet and Grasset (vitis riparia X vitis rupestris) and the goldriesling obtained by Eugène Kühlmann (1858-1932) around 1911 and marketed around 1921. With these same parents, he obtained among others the Maréchal Foch. Léon Millot is still found in Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland and England. The wine region of Cafayate Valley is located in the region of Calchaqui Valley of Salta of Argentina. Wineries and vineyards like the Domaine Matervini or the Domaine Domingo Molina produce mainly wines red, white and pink. The most planted grape varieties in the region of Cafayate Valley are Malbec, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Tannat, they are then used in wines in blends or as a single variety. The word of the wine: Sulphur
An antiseptic and antioxidant substance known since antiquity, probably already used by the Romans. But it was only in modern times that its use was rediscovered. It will allow a better conservation of the wine and thus favour its export.
